Instrumentation Engineer - Plant Operations

Our client is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer to support plant operations in Randburg . This role is critical for maintaining and improving the accuracy and reliability of process control systems and instrumentation within their energy production facility. You will be responsible for the calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of a wide range of instruments and control loops. This position offers a hands‑on role with significant impact on operational efficiency and safety within a key energy production hub.

• Maintain, calibrate, and repair process instruments, transmitters, and control valves.
• Troubleshoot complex instrumentation and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for instrumentation assets.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new instrumentation and control systems.
• Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with safety regulations and company standards.
• Provide technical support and training to plant operators and maintenance staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
• Proficiency with various types of process instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
• Experience with PLC/DCS systems and calibration equipment.
• Strong understanding of process control loops and tuning methodologies.
• Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and associated safety standards is beneficial.
