Lecturer; Part Time

• BSc Eng/B Eng/BEng and an MSc (Eng) in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Industrial, or Mechatronic Engineering are essential.
• The successful candidate would be research-active in these fields.
• S/he would conduct and supervise research up to the master’s level.
• Evidence of having secured funding would be advantageous.
• The successful candidate should have a good knowledge of the basic material pertaining to undergraduate Mechanical, Industrial, Aeronautical, or Mechatronic Engineering courses, and the background to be registered as a Professional Engineer, if not already registered in South Africa ().
• Evidence of research activity in Just Energy Transition, Water Resource Management, or Digitalization will be an advantage.
• Likewise, teaching experience in Industrial Business Management, Mechanical Thermodynamics, Mechanical Statics & Dynamics, Mechatronic Systems, and Engineering Design will be advantageous.

• The successful candidate will contribute in a focused and proportionate manner to:
  Undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching (limited course load (typically 1 course per year)).
• Supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students (number aligned with fractional appointment).
• Research outputs and/or participation in funded projects.
• Engagement with industry and professional bodies.
• Limited academic administration and service.
