• Conduct time and motion studies, facility layout design, and material flow analysis to enhance operational performance.
• Lead cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects, ensuring successful project execution and measurable results.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
• Utilize simulation software and data analysis tools to model and test process improvements before implementation.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to integrate new processes and technologies.
• Mentor and guide junior industrial engineers, fostering their technical and professional development.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices in industrial engineering and manufacturing.

• A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• A Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing complex process improvement projects.
• Deep knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficiency in process mapping tools, simulation software (e.g., Arena, Any Logic), and CAD software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in supervising or mentoring junior engineering staff.
• Familiarity with South African manufacturing standards and practices.
