Senior Process Engineer - Packaging Automation

• Design, develop, and implement advanced automated packaging systems to improve production efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Analyze current manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative automation solutions.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of new automated equipment and software.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including P&IDs, electrical schematics, and operational manuals.
• Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to select and procure appropriate automation hardware and software.
• Conduct regular performance audits of automated systems, troubleshooting any issues and implementing necessary modifications.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on automation technologies and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry standards throughout the automation lifecycle.
• Manage project timelines and budgets effectively, ensuring successful project completion.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on packaging automation in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and optimizing automated packaging lines.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA systems.
• In-depth knowledge of robotic systems, conveyor technology, vision inspection systems, and other packaging automation components.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
