• Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions that align with business objectives and industry best practices.
• Develop comprehensive network strategies, roadmaps, and implementation plans for both current and future telecommunications services.
• Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies, protocols, and equipment to enhance network performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of network infrastructure.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and architects.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning to ensure optimal network utilization and future growth.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in the telecommunications and networking fields.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in network architecture and design within the telecommunications industry.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale IP networks, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols.
• Strong understanding of wireless technologies (e.g., 4G, 5G), fiber optics, and VoIP systems.
• Experience with network virtualization, SDN, and NFV concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Experience in Johannesburg, Gauteng or similar metropolitan telecommunications environments is advantageous.
