Cost Accountant

Responsible for analyzing financial data, managing costs, and providing insights to improve profitability within an organization working closely with directors and management.

• Cost Analysis : Gather and analyze financial data to determine standard costs and investigate variances between estimated and actual costs.
• Budget Management : Assist in preparing optimized budget plans and monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to financial goals.
• Reporting : Prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual costs and present findings to management for decision‑making.
• Inventory Management : Monitor inventory accuracy and manage the costs associated with goods manufactured, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
• Collaboration : Work closely with other accountants and financial staff to provide support for budgeting and financial planning initiatives.
• Compliance : Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and maintain accurate cost accounting systems.

• Educational Background : A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is an advantage, and Relevant certifications may be preferred.
• Experience : Prior experience in cost accounting or a similar financial role is required, with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is beneficial.
• Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting are also important.
