SummaryThe primary responsibility for this position is to plan and manage the audit and AFS schedule for the Alternative Funds and Local Unit Trusts within Institutional Client Accounting, coordinating the Financial Reporting and Audit team’s output, reviewing annual financial statements, addressing audit and client queries, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards, process timelines and quality expectations.
Job specification- Deal plan and manage the Financial Reporting and Audit team's deliverables.
- Ensure the team is adequately resourced and motivated to perform the expected work.
- Monitor and minimise overruns by effectively delivering quality outcomes.
- Maintain relationships with external auditors, internal suppliers, and Client Relationship Managers.
- Review financial statements and assist with audit queries.
- Collaborate with the Process Head and executive management to develop and implement policy.
- Provide continuous training, motivation and development for all team members to maintain high client service standards.
- Minimum tertiary accounting qualification (e.g.,
B.Com Accounting) plus a professional qualification such as CA or ACCA. - At least 5 years of total experience, 3 of which are relevant.
- Audit environment experience and industry exposure.
- Strong management and supervisory skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Word and system usage.
- In‑depth knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and Lux GAAP.
- Understanding of funds, fee structures, hedge funds and unit trusts.
- Experience preparing financial statements, dealing with clients and auditors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident, enthusiastic, self‑motivated with a track record of achievement.
