Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commodity Market Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting market data, trends, and economic factors related to various commodities. The Commodity Market Analyst will provide insights and recommendations to support trading strategies, risk management, and business decisions. Reports to Sales Manager.

This is a Junior role and we are looking for someone who has 2-3 years experience as a trader or as a Market Analyst with commodities experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis:

• Conduct comprehensive analysis of commodity markets, including supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and economic indicators.
• Monitor global market developments and geopolitical events that impact commodity prices.

Data Collection and Interpretation:

• Gather and analyze data from various sources, including financial reports, market research, and economic publications.
• Utilize advanced analytical tools and software to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.

Reporting and Forecasting:

• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and forecasts on commodity market trends and outlooks.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management, traders, and other stakeholders.

Support Trading Strategies:

• Collaborate with the trading team to develop and refine trading strategies based on market analysis and insights.
• Provide real-time market updates and analysis to support trading decisions.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities in the commodity markets.
• Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies to mitigate market risks.

Stakeholder

Collaboration:

• Work closely with internal teams, including traders, risk managers, and financial analysts, to align market analysis with business objectives.
• Maintain relationships with external industry experts, analysts, and data providers.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (2-5 years) in commodity market analysis, trading, or a related role.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
• Proficiency in using market analysis tools, statistical software, and financial modeling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of global commodity markets, including energy, metals, and agricultural products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data visualization tools
