Description/Synopsis:

A leading pharmaceutical organisation is seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Finance Manager to join their team. This senior-level opportunity is ideal for a strategic finance professional who thrives in an operationally focused environment and is passionate about driving financial performance, efficiency, and profitability.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring financial health, optimising operational processes, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑growing pharmaceutical and healthcare group.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Qualified CA(SA) or CIMA essential
  • Minimum 7 years’ post‑articles experience outside of auditing
  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager in a complex or multi‑entity environment
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis
  • Advanced financial modelling and data analysis skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and compliance focus
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial analysis into business action
Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee monthly management reporting including detailed variance analysis
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and decision‑making
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital
  • Analyse operational performance and identify cost optimisation opportunities
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and assess financial impact
  • Manage annual financial audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals
  • Support ad‑hoc financial projects, modelling, and strategic initiatives
