Role: EMEA Finance Analyst

Location: Johannesburg, South Africa

About the role: We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our finance team, ensuring financial data integrity across project setups, time booking, and revenue recognition. This role plays a crucial part in supporting business operations by maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling data discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external accounting standards.

What you will be doing:

• Support the month‑end close process, ensuring revenue is recognised in accordance with company policy and aligned to expectation.
• Analyse account profitability, revenue forecasts, and variances, providing insights to the finance leadership team.
• Own and update key forecasting models.
• Assist the Local Finance Manager with accruals, deferrals, and revenue adjustments as required.
• Collaborate with finance and account teams to ensure billing and revenue recognition align with contractual agreements.

• Ensure accurate setup of projects in financial and operational systems, aligning with contract terms and revenue recognition policies.
• Review client agreements, budgets, and scopes of work to validate financial accuracy.
• Maintain data integrity by performing regular checks of system data.

• Identify opportunities to streamline finance operations and enhance the efficiency of financial workflows.
• Support audits and internal controls by maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company finance policies and external accounting standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in finance operations, revenue recognition, or project accounting, ideally in an agency or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of financial reconciliations, project accounting, and revenue recognition principles.
• Proficiency in financial and project management systems (Net Suite experience an advantage).
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to non‑finance stakeholders.
