Financial Accountant - Inter

We are sourcing a Financial Accountant for a company in the FMCG/ Manufacturing industry. The accountant will take full ownership of financial reporting and compliance functions within their fast‑paced, high‑volume processing environment.

This is a pivotal role requiring precision, insight, and a hands‑on approach to finance operations.

• Full financial reporting up to trial balance, including month‑end, quarterly, and year‑end reviews
• Summary, analysis, and reporting of financial transactions
• Processing of general ledger journals and ensuring accurate posting to the GL
• Monthly balance sheet reporting and reconciliations
• Performing day‑end and month‑end processes in Syspro (AR, AP, Inventory, Cashbook, GL)
• Releasing local creditor payments and verifying the accuracy of creditor reconciliations
• Managing and clearing intercompany charge accounts on a monthly basis
• Calculation of commissions, provisions, and related financial adjustments
• Submission of Flash Results and compilation of reporting packs in line with deadlines
• Liaising with internal and external auditors
• Maintaining accurate supporting documentation for audit reviews
• Capex management, including initiation, documentation control, and fixed asset verification
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register
• Compilation of budgets and providing financial guidance to branch management
• Liaising with factory and operations managers regarding expense accruals and financial queries
• Investigation and resolution of financial queries
• Implementation and maintenance of financial policies and standard operating procedures
• Participation in ad hoc financial projects as required

• B. Com in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar financial accounting role
• FMCG industry experience will be highly advantageous
• Strong systems proficiency, including Syspro, Qlik View, and MS Office (MS Excel specifically)
