We are looking to recruit Junior Accountant to work within the Retail Finance - Sorbet department. The role will be based at Sorbet Head Office in Woodmead, Johannesburg and will report to the Retail Finance Analyst.

Job Purpose:

To provide accurate and timely finance support to the Sorbet business by assisting with invoice processing, month‑end accounting, reconciliations, and reporting for Corporate Stores, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and Clicks Group standards.

Job Objectives:

  • Process invoices timeously and efficiently and respond to and resolve internal/vendor queries within 48 hours.
  • Ensure all rental/landlords are onboarded no later than one month after lease commencement.
  • Review and remain accountable for Corporate Stores GL reviews and entries at month end. This includes Zenoti sales, cost of sales, stock adjustments and inventory entries.
  • Monthly journal preparation (including General Ledger accounts review)
  • Monthly reconciliation analysis and review.
  • Assist in automating Corporate Stores Income Statements in Clicks systems (EPM/SAC).
  • Publish accurate and complete Corporate Stores Income Statements by day 10 after month end.
  • Monitor and report on Capex budget tracking as per SAP Capex projects.
  • Ensure RP (Forecast) and Budgets submission to Clicks standards within applicable deadlines.
  • Manage internal and external audits timeously.



Minimum Education and

Qualification:

  • Matric
  • Degree in Accounting
  • 2–3 years in Commercial finance environment.
  • Retail and /or FMCG industry experience (desirable)
