Position: Accountant - 6 month contract
Accountant | 6-Month Contract | Financial Services An exciting contract opportunity for a detail-oriented Accountant to join a financial services environment where accuracy, accountability, and strong financial control are key.

A reputable organisation within the financial services industry is looking to appoint an Accountant on a 6-month contract, responsible for managing core accounting functions, reporting, and month-end processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Month-end journals, revenue calculations & reconciliations
• Preparing income statements, balance sheets & management packs
• Creditors, debtors, loan accounts & intercompany journals
• VAT submissions and cashbook accuracy
• Reviewing claims, invoices, refunds & payments
• Assisting with internal and external audits
• Resolving finance-related queries and supporting the finance team

Minimum requirements:

• BCom in Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
• Exposure to financial services or regulated environments advantageous
• Strong Excel skills and system experience
• High attention to detail and strong analytical ability
