Financial Manager

A dynamic media business is looking for a Financial Manager to take full ownership of the finance function and play a key role in driving strong financial control, insight, and performance across the business.

You’ll manage the full accounting function end-to-end, including:

• Full responsibility for debtors, creditors, banking, petty cash, and reconciliations
• Monthly management reporting, including Income Statements and Balance Sheets
• Rolling weekly cash flow forecasts with clear insights for decision-making
• General ledger, balance sheet, and fixed asset reconciliations
• VAT preparation and SARS e-filing, ensuring full statutory compliance
• GP% analysis, margin investigations, and performance reporting
• Intercompany loan account reconciliations
• Maintaining statutory and compliance documentation (CSD, TCS, and related requirements)
• Managing, mentoring, and developing finance team members
• Supporting audits and engaging with statutory and B-BBEE auditors

• B.Com in Accounting or Finance
• Solid working knowledge of IFRS / relevant accounting frameworks
• Strong experience with statutory taxes and SARS E-Filing
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, lookups, data analysis)
• Exposure to ITS / NAV (advantageous)
• Proven ability to manage deadlines in a fast-moving environment
• Experience with system implementations or migrations (advantageous)
