About the Role
As a Partner Financial Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in supporting Mimecast’s global partner ecosystem. You’ll provide strategic financial management, advanced analytics, and business partnership to drive growth and optimize performance within our partner business. This role is perfect for a finance professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced SAAS environment and is passionate about influencing business outcomes through data-driven insights.
What You’ll Do
- Business Partnering
:
Act as the financial analyst point of contact for the Global Partner Team, collaborating with VPs and leaders across regions to support the channel strategy and its initiatives. - Financial Modelling & Forecasting: Build and maintain financial models to support planning, scenario analysis, and investment decisions for partner programs and initiatives.
- Reporting & Analytics: Consolidate, analyze, and communicate key metrics and KPIs related to partner performance, including revenue, pipeline, costs, and commission structures.
- Budgeting & Planning: Support budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning processes for the partner organization, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company goals.
- Performance Analysis: Assess partner business performance, provide insights on risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to drive revenue growth and cost efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
:
Work closely with Channel Programs, Operations, GTM Finance, and Data & Analytics collaborating to support the channel strategy and outcomes. - Market Insights: Monitor partner and market trends to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Global Flexibility: Support teams and initiatives across global time zones as needed
What You’ll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/or Higher Diploman in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Corporate Finance, FP&A, or a similar analytical role, preferably within the SAAS or technology sector.
- Technical
Skills:
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with business intelligence/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, SFDC, Net Suite, Workday) is a plus. - Analytical Acumen: Proven ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Business & Communication
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities; comfortable influencing stakeholders at all levels. - Attention to Detail: Meticulous and organized, with a commitment to accuracy.
- Integrity & Work Ethic: High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Accounting Knowledge: Familiarity with revenue recognition, budgeting, forecasting, and US GAAP principles (especially ASC
606) is a bonus. - Adaptability: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Passion for Improvement: Eagerness to seek out and drive process improvements.
