Director of Government Relations

We are hiring for one of our clients on-site in Johannesburg.

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Johannesburg, South Africa for a Director of Government Relations with one of oour clients from Manufacturing industry. The individual will lead the organization’s government relations efforts by developing and implementing strategies to engage with government agencies, policymakers, and other stakeholders. Key responsibilities include monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, building and maintaining relationships with government officials, advocating for policies aligned with organizational objectives, and overseeing lobbying efforts.

The Director will also support legislative and public policy initiatives to create a positive impact for the organization.

• Proven expertise in Governmental Affairs and Government Relations
• Experience in Lobbying and Legislative Relations
• Strong understanding of Legislation and its implications on organizational operations
• Understanding of HR & Labor compliances
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Prior experience in a similar role or relevant manufacturing industry
