Function Clinical / Counselling Facility Position EWP Telephone Clinician Introduction
A vacancy exists for an EWP Telephone Clinician within Life Health Solutions Employee Wellness. The position will be reporting to the EWP Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality emotional consultations and counselling with employees telephonically. The role will require referral management, and follow-up on referrals to the EWP Practitioner network and ensure services are in line with the clients’ service level benchmarks.

Provide quality emotional phone counselling and consultation services to relevant stakeholdersDemonstrate appropriate consultation methodology that is efficient, customer focused and professional and in line with clinical protocols provided by Life Health SolutionsLink, and follow-up on face-to-face referrals to the EWP Practitioner network and ensure resolution with service level benchmarksMaintain up to date knowledge of client companies’ Service Level Agreements as well as Life Health Solutions systems, policies and proceduresConsider appropriate care methodology when providing solution plansEnsure that information is shared with respect to best practice standards of ethical behaviour and confidentialityManaging any risks, contain employees, and ensure appropriate care resolutionDemonstrate consistent and accurate recording of case dataActivate support for stakeholders requesting legal or financial wellness interventionsActivate support for stakeholders requesting health interventionsUndertake Manager/HR/Occupational Health consultations where neededArrange and refer group interventions post traumaRequirements
Clinical or counselling related qualification (Degree in Psychology / Social Work / Registered Counsellor)2 - 3 years of experience in relevant Human Sciences field and within Employee Wellness Experience in relevant Human Sciences fieldPrevious EWP experience in a clinical settingAnnual professional registration with the relevant statutory body (HPCSA; SACSSP)Counselling proficiency in English and AfrikaansCompetencies
Sound knowledge of ethics and codes of practice within the field of psychology, social work; counselling and employee wellness provisioningExceptional written and verbal communication skills to enable clearly consolidated reports and feedback to relevant stakeholdersGood interpersonal skills and analytical abilitiesAbility to work independently and proactively, as well as being an integral member of a skilled teamAbility to apply clinical skills and knowledge to employee wellness provisioningAbility to work in a high pressure, fast paced environmentExcellent administrative and organisational skillsAbility to multi-task and interact professionally with clients and colleaguesStrong customer service focus and ability to understand/anticipate customer needsConfidentiality, Dependability and integrityAlign with operational requirements of the businessExcellent written communication skills
