WordPress Developer

We're on the lookout for a Word Press Developer who is able to pair the art of design with strong technical ability. Were looking for no-nonsense, hard-working people with a can-do attitude.

• Ability to work in a team
• Good at pro-actively identify and implement new ideas/solutions
• Planning, structuring and configuring Word Press systems
• Developing custom PHP modules, themes and plugins for Word Press
• Improving the quality and functionality of our existing systems
• Monitoring and analysing our software under real-world, production conditions
• Evaluating new technologies for their feasibility and usefulness
• Collaborating with other development teams and freelancers
• Continually growing, learning, and sharing as we strive to keep pushing our technical boundaries
• Manage your own time well and meet deadlines

• 3+ years Word Press experience and web development experience
• Good understanding of responsive web design and a mobile first approach to development
• Strong portfolio of work
• Clean coding methods
• Skillset must include:
• CSS/CSS3 for front end templating
• HTML 5
• PHP
• Adobe Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator
• SEO and UX understanding
• Experience with:
• Subversion (Git)
• Database administration (MySQL)
• Must be able to code own responsive template from PSD
• Able to manipulate plugins to perform required functions (mentioning examples will
  be beneficial)
• Experience using child themes and familiar plugins
• Building new Word Press sites/systems from scratch (including themes and plugins)
• Ability to work on Macintosh computer
• Understanding of different CMS platforms such as Drupal, Joomla and Umbraco
• You have an appreciation for testing and automation.
• eCommerce experience (Woo Commerce)
