ETL Consultant-Testing

We are seeking a highly skilled ETL Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data mapping, and data modeling for ETL processes. The ETL Tester will be responsible for developing and validating SQL scripts, troubleshooting SQL queries and ETL jobs, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in data analysis, data mapping, and data modeling for ETL processes.
• Strong proficiency in developing and validating SQL scripts for ETL.
• Experience in troubleshooting SQL queries, ETL jobs, and data warehouse/data mart/data store models.
• Demonstrated experience in data validation testing for various data sources.
• Ability to validate data mappings to ensure accurate data transformation and integration.
• Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end testing processes.
• Experience in creating detailed requirements for ETL processes.
• Strong skills in developing and documenting procedures for ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis and Data Mapping:
  Perform thorough data analysis and mapping to ensure accurate data transformation and integration within ETL processes.
• Data Modeling:
  Develop and maintain data models for ETL processes, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
• SQL Script Development and Validation:
  Develop, validate, and optimize SQL scripts for ETL processes to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Troubleshooting:
  Identify and resolve issues related to SQL queries, ETL jobs, and data warehouse/data mart/data store models.
• Data Validation Testing:
  Conduct data validation testing for various data sources to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Validation of Data Mappings:
  Validate data mappings to ensure correct data transformations and integrations.
• End-to-End Testing:
  Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes, ensuring all components function correctly from source data extraction to final data load.
• Requirements Creation:
  Collaborate with stakeholders to create detailed requirements for ETL processes, ensuring they meet business needs and technical specifications.
• Procedure Creation:
  Develop and document procedures for ETL processes, ensuring clear and concise guidelines for development and testing.
