Design, deploy, and manage secure network solutions tailored for OT environments, focusing on switching and VLANs.

Ensure the segmentation and isolation of OT and IT networks to enhance security and performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in industrial environments, including Layer 2 and Layer 3 configurations.

Implement and manage VLAN architectures to support traffic segregation, scalability, and compliance.

Conduct network vulnerability assessments and apply mitigation strategies to ensure cybersecurity in OT systems.

Collaborate with OT engineers, IT teams, and cybersecurity specialists to ensure network designs meet operational and security requirements.

Develop and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, security protocols, and troubleshooting procedures.

Monitor network performance and security, responding proactively to potential risks or incidents.

Stay updated on OT-specific cybersecurity standards (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST 800-82) and apply best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and

Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional), or similar are highly desirable.

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 1-2 years in OT environments.

Proven expertise in switching technologies, VLAN configurations, and OT-specific network design.

Hands-on experience with industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, PROFINET, DNP3) is an advantage.

Technical

Skills:

Strong knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.

Familiarity with OT cybersecurity frameworks like IEC 62443, NERC CIP, or NIST 800-82.

Experience configuring and securing enterprise-grade network devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent).

Understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other cybersecurity tools used in OT networks.

Proficiency in routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) is a plus.

Knowledge of network monitoring and security tools, such as Wireshark, Solar Winds, or Splunk.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Effective communication and collaboration with diverse teams, including non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently in high-pressure industrial environments.

Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning in the OT cybersecurity space.
