Job Purpose
The IT Communications Specialist will be responsible for shaping and sharing the narrative of the IT department. This role ensures that technical initiatives, projects, and strategies are communicated clearly, consistently, and in ways that inspire confidence and engagement across the business.
Key Objectives- Translate complex technical information into clear, engaging stories for diverse audiences.
- Build trust and transparency by keeping employees informed about IT changes, projects, and successes.
- Strengthen the IT department’s identity and visibility within the organisation.
- Drive adoption of new technologies by making them relatable and easy to understand.
- Develop and deliver communication plans for IT projects, updates, and initiatives.
- Write and edit content for newsletters, announcements, intranet posts, presentations, and town halls.
- Partner with IT leadership to craft narratives that connect technology strategy to business goals.
- Create storytelling assets (case studies, success stories, videos, infographics) that highlight IT’s impact.
- Act as a liaison between IT and Corporate Communications/HR to ensure consistent messaging.
- Support change management efforts by communicating transitions in a clear and empathetic way.
- Monitor feedback and adjust communication strategies to improve engagement.
- Regular storytelling updates on IT projects (newsletters, blogs, town halls).
- Partner with HR/Comms to ensure IT messages are consistent and engaging.
- Creating success stories that highlight IT’s impact on the business.
