Position Overview
We are looking for a talented UX Designer to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract to create intuitive, user-centered digital experiences.
The ideal candidate leads the end-to-end design process—from deep-dive research to high-fidelity implementation. You will be a champion for user needs, ensuring our products are not only visually stunning but also accessible, functional, and grounded in data.
Key Responsibilities- End-to-End Design:
Lead the UX process from initial discovery and research to final developer handoff. - User Research:
Conduct interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis to ground design decisions in evidence. - Artifact Creation:
Develop user personas, journey maps, information architecture, and wireframes. - Prototyping:
Build interactive prototypes and high-fidelity mockups for stakeholder review and testing. - Design Systems:
Establish and maintain scalable design systems and style guides. - Advocacy:
Present and defend design decisions to stakeholders while iterating based on user feedback and analytics. - Inclusivity:
Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
- Experience:
Minimum 7+ years in UX/UI design. - Portfolio:
Mandatory portfolio demonstrating a clear UX process, problem-solving journey, and successful project outcomes. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field.
Research & Strategy
- Methodologies:
Qualitative and quantitative research, A/B testing, and analytics interpretation. - Strategy:
Persona development, user journey mapping, and comprehensive information architecture. - Frameworks:
Design Thinking, User-Centered Design (UCD), and Lean UX practices.
Design Tools & Software
- Primary:
Figma (Industry standard), Adobe XD, or Sketch. - Prototyping:
Figma Prototyping, Proto Pie, Principle, or Axure RP. - Research Tools:
Optimal Workshop, , Hotjar, Maze, or Lookback. - Handoff:
Zeplin or Figma Dev Mode.
Accessibility (A11y)
- Standards:
Deep knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA compliance. - Design:
Mastery of color contrast, screen reader compatibility, and keyboard navigation. - Testing:
Proficiency with accessibility audit tools like WAVE or Axe.
- Empathy: A deep-seated commitment to user advocacy.
- Communication:
Ability to articulate complex design rationale to non-design stakeholders. - Collaboration:
Comfortable facilitating design sprints and workshops in a cross-functional environment.
- Motion Design:
Skills in After Effects or Principle. - Technical:
Basic front-end knowledge (HTML/CSS) to better collaborate with developers. - Specialization:
Experience in Data Visualization or Voice UI (VUI). - Certifications:
Certified accessibility specialist (CPACC, WAS).
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. Extensions are subject to business needs and individual performance.
