Job Title: Search Engine Marketing Specialist (SEO & PPC)

Reporting To: Head of Search Engine Marketing / performance marketing manager
Role overviewWe are seeking a results-driven Search Engine Marketing Specialist responsible for planning, implementing, and optimising paid search (PPC) and organic search (SEO) strategies. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving client visibility, driving qualified traffic, and delivering measurable business outcomes through data-driven search marketing initiatives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, technical understanding of search platforms, and the ability to translate performance insights into actionable optimisation strategies.
Keyresponsibilities Paid search (PPC)
- Plan, build, and optimise Google Ads campaigns aligned to campaign objectives
- Conduct keyword research and audience targeting strategies
- Monitor campaign budgets, pacing, and performance KPIs
- Implement audience segmentation in Google Analytics 4
- Implement conversion tracking and ensure accurate data collection
- Conduct A/B testing across ads, landing pages, and audiences
- Deliver performance reports with optimisation recommendations
- Conduct technical, on‑page, and off‑page SEO optimisations
- Perform keyword research and search intent analysis
- Support local SEO initiatives and location‑based campaign strategies
- Monitor and provide insights on reviews, engagement, and listing performance
- Optimise website content, metadata, and internal linking structures
- Monitor website health using technical SEO tools
- Implement and maintain structured data where applicable
- Optimise and maintain Google Business Profiles
- Track organic performance and provide ongoing improvement strategies
- Collaborate with content and development teams to implement SEO best practices
- Configure and manage Google Analytics 4 properties
- Implement and maintain tracking via Google Tag Manager
- Ensure accurate event, conversion, and eCommerce tracking
- Analyse user behaviour and campaign performance to identify opportunities
- Produce insightful performance reports and dashboards
- Minimum 2 years experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEO and PPC)
- Proven experience managing Google Ads campaigns
- Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics 4
- Experience implementing tracking using Google Tag Manager
- Experience using SEO tools (SEMRush, Ahrefs or Ubbersuggest)
- Experience managing or optimising Google Business Profiles
- Strong understanding of keyword research, search intent, and conversion optimisation
- Ability to analyse performance data and present insights clearly
- Experience working within a digital agency environment
- Experience with eCommerce tracking and optimisation
- Understanding of structured data and technical SEO fundamentals
- Experience with Looker Studio or other reporting platforms
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or website CMS platforms (Word Press, Shopify, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines
- Strong communication and client presentation skills
- Commercial awareness and results‑driven mindset
