Role Overview As an Integration Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing API-led integrations using the Mule Soft Anypoint Platform. You will collaborate with architects, business analysts, Dev Ops teams, and security specialists to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performance integrations across banking systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement API-led integrations (System, Process, and Experience APIs)
- Build and maintain integrations using Mule 4, Data Weave, and Anypoint Studio
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with SOAP and legacy systems
- Apply best practices for security, performance, error handling, and logging
- Use Anypoint Exchange for reusable assets and shared APIs
- Implement API policies (OAuth 2.0, Client t, rate limiting)
- Participate in solution design, technical reviews, and code reviews
- Support deployments to Cloud Hub, Runtime Fabric, or on-prem
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration and performance issues
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and Dev Ops teams
- Maintain technical documentation and API specification
Core Mule Soft Skills
- Strong experience with Mule Soft Anypoint Platform
- Hands-on experience with Mule 4
- Strong knowledge of Data Weave 2.0
- Experience with API-led connectivity
- Proficiency in Anypoint Studio, Exchange, and API Manager
- RESTful API design (RAML or OpenAPI)
- SOAP web services
- Experience integrating
- Databases (JDBC, SQL)
- SaaS platforms (Salesforce, SAP, Workday, etc.)
- File systems, FTP/SFTP
- Messaging systems (JMS, Kafka, AMQP)
- OAuth 2.0, JWT, basic authentication
- API gateway and policy enforcement
- Secure data handling and encryption concepts
- CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops)
- Source control (Git)
- Maven
- Cloud Hub deployment and monitoring
- Runtime Fabric or on-prem deployments (advantage
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Time management and delivery focus
- Mule Soft certifications (MCD – Level 1 or Level
2) - Experience with microservices architecture
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
- Exposure to enterprise integration patterns (EIP)
- Experience in banking, insurance, telecoms, or government integrations
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years’ experience in integration development
- 2+ years hands-on Mule Soft experience (depending on seniority)
