Micromine is looking for a Product Specialist – Mine Planning (Open Pit) to join our AMEE (Africa, Middle East, Europe) Operations team, supporting and advancing our industry‑leading Alastri planning and scheduling solution. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing role where your technical expertise will directly influence how mining operations plan, schedule and optimise their assets.
You will be the technical expert and trusted advisor for our Alastri solution across the AMEE region. You’ll work closely with clients, sales, and product teams to deliver high‑quality implementations, training, consulting, and ongoing support. This is your chance to:
- Support proof of concepts, demonstrations and solution design
- Build scheduling models, coaching users and resolving complex technical issues
- Run engaging training sessions at Micromine offices, client sites and third‑party venues
- Shape future product enhancements through user feedback, testing and design input
- Support proposals, renewals, trade shows and customer engagement
To succeed in this role, you are someone who combines strong technical mine planning expertise with the ability to communicate clearly and build trusted relationships. Other requirements are:
- 5+ years’ experience analysing, implementing, or using mine planning and scheduling software
- At least 2 years of open‑pit metals mine site experience
- Strong understanding of mine scheduling solutions and mining processes
- Experience delivering or supporting mine scheduling solutions
- Confidence training and coaching mining professionals
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and teamwork skills
- Curious mindset and genuine interest in new technologies and service delivery approaches
- Experience scripting in C#, nice to have
- Availability to travel – up to 25% within AMEE
