Waters Edge Solutions is partnering with a leading long-term insurance provider to recruit a Release & Dev Ops Specialist
. This critical role is focused on ensuring smooth, consistent, and high-quality software releases. You'll serve as a key link between development, QA, and operations, driving the delivery of scalable, production-grade software systems in a collaborative environment.
You will take ownership of the release calendar, CI/CD automation, and environment stability—empowering dev teams to focus on building features while ensuring the business receives robust, production-ready software. Your efforts will directly enhance deployment quality, system observability, and business confidence in release cycles.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and own the software release calendar and coordination
- Plan, communicate, and document release processes across environments
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops
- Automate deployment processes across development, staging, and production
- Maintain parity between staging and production environments
- Implement rollback strategies and recovery processes
- Collaborate with IT and QA to ensure environments are secure and production-like
- Troubleshoot and resolve staging/production issues
- Provide visibility via dashboards and release readiness metrics
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure Dev Ops
- Proficiency in automated deployments for .NET, Blazor, and SQL Server
- Expert knowledge of Git branching strategies
- Solid troubleshooting skills across code, configuration, and environments
- Familiarity with release/change management in enterprise settings
- High attention to detail and structured thinking
- Ownership mindset and collaborative working style
- Experience with observability tools (e.g., Seq)
- Understanding of security protocols for deployment (secrets, IAM, access policies)
- Scripting knowledge (Power Shell, Bash, or Python)
- Containerisation and infrastructure automation experience
- High-impact Dev Ops role in a stable and long-standing company
- Hybrid working model (Bedfordview-based)
