This role supports the rollout, configuration and day-to-day technical operation of a Cloud-based Point-of-Sale (POS) solution for hospitality businesses, including sit down restaurants, Take Away and Bars. Working closely with the Business Manager - Cloud Product, the successful candidate will assist with system implementation, hardware setup, training, and customer support, helping ensure stable deployments and a positive customer experience.
ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the position include:
Cloud POS Implementation- Assist with onboarding new customers onto the Cloud POS platform
- Support configuration of:
- Web-based back-office modules (stock, recipes, sales products)
- Android, iOS and Windows-based POS terminals (ordering, payments, transfers, voids)
- Help prepare and validate systems before go-live
- Assist with setup and basic troubleshooting of:
- Android tablets, iOS tablets, Android and Windows based all-in-one POS devices include
- POS peripherals (printers, cash drawers, network switches, scanners etc.)
- Assist with setup and validation of:
- Card payment providers
- Online ordering platforms
- Perform basic testing and elevate integration issues clearly and accurately
- Assist with customer training for:
- Front-of-house POS usage
- Manager back-office operations
- Provide telephonic and remote support for day-to-day operational issues
- Participate in onsite support and implementations
- Capture customer feedback and recurring issues
- Assist with user acceptance testing and validation of new features
- Contribute to training material and basic documentation
- Grow toward supporting and eventually leading implementation and support functions as the business scales
- Matric
- Diploma or degree in IT:
Information Systems, or a related field - Previous experience in hospitality systems / technical support / POS / Hardware setup and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of Android, iOS, and Windows operating systems
- Conceptual understanding of reports and operational data
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Will be required to travel for onsite implementations and support - own car essential
