This role supports the rollout, configuration and day-to-day technical operation of a Cloud-based Point-of-Sale (POS) solution for hospitality businesses, including sit down restaurants, Take Away and Bars. Working closely with the Business Manager - Cloud Product, the successful candidate will assist with system implementation, hardware setup, training, and customer support, helping ensure stable deployments and a positive customer experience.

The responsibilities of the position include:

Cloud POS Implementation
  • Assist with onboarding new customers onto the Cloud POS platform
  • Support configuration of:
  • Web-based back-office modules (stock, recipes, sales products)
  • Android, iOS and Windows-based POS terminals (ordering, payments, transfers, voids)
  • Help prepare and validate systems before go-live
Hardware & Infrastructure Support
  • Assist with setup and basic troubleshooting of:
  • Android tablets, iOS tablets, Android and Windows based all-in-one POS devices include
  • POS peripherals (printers, cash drawers, network switches, scanners etc.)
Integrations Support
  • Assist with setup and validation of:
  • Online ordering platforms
  • Perform basic testing and elevate integration issues clearly and accurately
Training & Customer Support
  • Assist with customer training for:
  • Front-of-house POS usage
  • Provide telephonic and remote support for day-to-day operational issues
  • Participate in onsite support and implementations
Product & Team Growth Support
  • Capture customer feedback and recurring issues
  • Assist with user acceptance testing and validation of new features
  • Contribute to training material and basic documentation
  • Grow toward supporting and eventually leading implementation and support functions as the business scales

The following requirements must be met in order for you to be considered for the position:

  • Matric
  • Diploma or degree in IT:
    Information Systems, or a related field
  • Previous experience in hospitality systems / technical support / POS / Hardware setup and troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of Android, iOS, and Windows operating systems
  • Conceptual understanding of reports and operational data
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
  • Will be required to travel for onsite implementations and support - own car essential
  • Flexibility to assist after hours during go-lives or critical issues
