Architect – Java (Solutions Architect)

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Solutions Architect based in Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing scalable and efficient solution architectures, consulting with stakeholders to assess business needs, and driving technical projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities include developing software solutions, implementing integrations, and optimizing business processes to align with organizational goals and objectives.

This role requires collaboration across teams to ensure the delivery of optimal technical solutions.

• Proven expertise in Solution Architecture and Integration
• Strong experience in Software Development with a focus on creating and implementing technical solutions
• Consulting skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and identify business needs
• Knowledge of Business Process analysis and optimization techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork
• Experience with cloud solutions, agile methodologies, and cutting-edge technologies is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience as JAVA Solution Architect, with strong skills in Java 17, Microservices, event-driven architecture, Kubernetes, Docker, design documentation, and knowledge of Graph DB, Vector DB & distributed databases.
