• This person’s primary responsibility is the proactive management and maintenance of our office’s IT infrastructure—ensuring that all systems, servers, and hardware always remain fully operational.
• Rather than just responding to IT issues, this role requires preventative action—regularly monitoring system health, conducting maintenance, and identifying potential failures before they impact operations.
• This person needs someone who is physically present to handle hands-on IT infrastructure tasks.
• The goal is system stability—this person must minimize downtime, ensure optimal performance of all IT assets, and maintain business continuity in our security monitoring command centre.
• While they have remote network engineers managing firewalls, switches, and overall network configurations, this System Administrator will primarily focus on managing the IT environment locally ensuring PCs, workstations, servers, and IT hardware are always fully functional.
• They will need to perform routine maintenance, software updates, and system optimizations to prevent performance issues and technical failures.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills are required to address potential failures before they become major issues.
• We need someone with a proactive approach to IT management, focusing on preventative maintenance, system optimization, and reliability.
• A professional with hands-on IT/system administration experience in an IT-intensive environment.
• Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, IT security best practices, and hardware diagnostics.
• A self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and problem-solving individual who can work independently while collaborating with our remote IT team as needed.
