Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation for a seasoned Solutions Architect on a contract basis who thrives at the intersection of business, architecture and hands-on delivery. This role calls for a technically strong architect who can consult at executive level while still engaging deeply with development teams to ensure seamless implementation.
Responsibilities:
Engage business and systems stakeholders to analyse, refine and validate requirementsFacilitate fit/gap analysis and contribute to business requirements documentationDesign end-to-end solution architectures, including logical and physical design artefactsBreak down high-level components into functional deliverables for development teamsGuide migration planning from source to target architectureIdentify architectural risks and implement mitigation strategiesOversee governance, standards alignment and architectural review processesProvide post-release oversight to ensure functional and architectural integrityWhere required, contribute hands-on in Java development aligned to best practice standardsRequirements:
10+ years’ experience in Java development, with at least 2 years in a Solution or Systems Architect roleArchitectural certification (TOGAF, Prince or equivalent)Project Management qualificationStrong experience in microservices architecture, cloud environments and system integrationSolid understanding of the Java ecosystem including Spring, Hibernate, REST/SOAP services, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes and SQLAbility to translate logical designs into scalable, secure physical implementationsStrong stakeholder engagement and presentation skillsEE Disclaimer:
