** Job Summary
** To configure, maintain, support, and optimise the Pay Space payroll system, ensuring accurate payroll processing, system integrity, audit compliance, and seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems such as Workday and financial systems.

The consultant will be responsible for analysing business requirements, implementing configuration changes, supporting integrations, resolving incidents, and maintaining proper documentation to support audit and governance requirements. This includes providing audit evidence, ensuring configuration traceability, and supporting the business during internal and external audit processes.

The role contributes to ensuring payroll accuracy, system stability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of payroll processes within a controlled banking environment.
** Are you someone who can:
*** Participate in the configuration, implementation, ongoing maintenance and support of the applicable system/modules.
* Take responsibility for one module
* Analyse and interpret business requirements to formulate a solution.
* Estimate, execute and oversee all approved development and configuration items and ensure delivery according to business requirements documentation.
* Compile, develop and review the required technical documentation with clear translation of business requirements into functional requirements specifications.
* Ensure documentation is prepared across the system development life cycle.
* Provide input into the compilation of training material on the solution to internal clients, end users & relevant stakeholders.
* Comply, understand, and align to all steps within the System Development Life Cycle and ensure governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
* Extract and analyse data against business rules, policy, and practice and make recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
* Formulate and implement solutions based on client needs to support new/existing product development projects to derive a clear understanding of the client’s needs and requirements through provision of subject matter expertise.
* Work with relevant stakeholders to assess impact and benefit to business.
* Provide input and assist business to achieve efficiencies through optimized processes.
* Control expenditure and identify process improvements to contain and reduce costs.
* Deliver customer experience excellence in own service delivery aligned to Organisational values and service standards.
* Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own development.
* Develop, encourage, and nurture collaborative relationships across area of specialisation.
* Oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, bridging the gap between HC strategy and implementation
* Bridge the gap between development team and technical teams (Ops and Architecture)
* Build and manage APIs for seamless integration with Workday and other systems.
* Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance during integration processes.
* Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues efficiently.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to align integration solutions with business needs.
** You will be an ideal candidate if you have:
*** Matric/Grade 12 with 8–10 years’ relevant experience, or a relevant Diploma/Degree.
* 5–7 years’ payroll experience.( Experience in banking, financial services, or large multinational payroll environments would be an advantage)
* Preferably 2 years’ experience within a configuration…
