The Digital Transformation Lead will spearhead the design and execution of comprehensive digital strategies for AWS’s enterprise customers in South Africa. This role involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders, solution architects, and product teams to identify opportunities, develop roadmaps, and drive adoption of cloud‑native services. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, translating business objectives into technical solutions that enhance agility, efficiency, and innovation.

This position offers a unique platform to influence large‑scale change, work with industry‑leading technologies, and contribute to the broader mission of digital empowerment across the region.

• Develop and lead end‑to‑end digital transformation strategies for enterprise clients, aligning technology solutions with business goals.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing IT environments, identifying gaps and recommending cloud migration, automation, and data analytics pathways.
• Collaborate with AWS product teams to tailor services such as AWS Lambda, Sage Maker, and Data Lakes to client-specific use cases.
• Lead cross‑functional workshops, proof‑of‑concepts, and pilot programs to demonstrate value and accelerate adoption.
• Manage stakeholder relationships at C‑suite level, presenting roadmaps, ROI analyses, and progress reports.
• Mentor and guide junior consultants and solution architects, fostering a high‑performance team culture.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant and future‑proof solutions.

• Deep expertise in cloud architecture, especially AWS services, with a proven track record of large‑scale migrations.
• Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of influencing senior executives.
• Project management proficiency, including Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with data analytics, AI/ML, and IoT integration is highly desirable.
• Leadership qualities with a collaborative mindset and a passion for mentoring.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Dev Ops Engineer, or PMP will be considered a strong advantage.
