Pre-Sales Intern

The Sage Pre-Sales Intern position is seeking a technically skilled and customer-focused individual to support their software sales team. The role involves working closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to understand customer requirements, deliver product demonstrations, and provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. The primary objective is to help customers conceptualize solutions to business challenges using Sage's suite of solutions.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with account executives, conducting product demonstrations, analyzing client business processes, responding to RFPs, RFIs, and technical documentation requests, liaising between sales and technical teams, staying current with product developments, competitor offerings, and industry trends, developing presales tools, demo environments, and customer use cases, providing feedback to product and development teams, and working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced sales environment.

Successful candidates must have a grade 12 matric certificate, a bachelor's degree in accounting, a clear criminal record, and experience with software solutions. The position is a hybrid role, three days per week in the Midrand office. Successful candidates will join the Intern Programme on August 1, 2025, for 12 months.

• Collaborate with account executives to identify customer needs and propose appropriate software solutions
• Conduct product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical presentations tailored to client requirements
• Analyze client business processes and align software capabilities to address business challenges
• Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical documentation requests
• Liaise between the sales and technical teams to ensure smooth transition from presales to post-sales implementation
• Stay current with product developments, competitor offerings, and industry trends
• Assist in developing presales tools, demo environments, and customer use cases
• Provide feedback to product and development teams based on customer interactions
• Working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced sales environment
• Be able to articulate both the Sage Intacct and Cloud Native Value Proposition

• Grade 12
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or, BCom in Computer Science or Information Systems, or a related fields of Software and Accounting
