Senior Cloud & API Platform Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud & API Platform Engineer to design, build, automate, and support enterprise-grade API and cloud platform solutions within a banking environment. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Kubernetes, Python, Dev Ops, AWS, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), API technologies (REST/SOAP), and IBM Data Power/API Connect. This role is responsible for driving engineering best practices, platform reliability, automation, security, and scalability across cloud-native and API management platforms.
Key Requirements
Mandatory
- 5+ years of senior-level experience in Kubernetes administration
- 5+ years of advanced Python development and automation
- 5+ years of XSLT development and integration
- 5+ years of Dev Ops engineering experience
- 5+ years of IBM Data Power and/or API Connect experience
- 5+ years of applying engineering best practices and platform governance
- 5+ years of AWS cloud experience
- 5+ years of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation)
- Strong expertise in API technologies, including REST and SOAP services
Nice to Have
- Experience with IBM Data Power or API Connect (if not already gained through mandatory skills)
- Knowledge of AIOps tools, practices, and automation
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable API and cloud platform solutions.
- Administer and optimize Kubernetes environments and AWS infrastructure.
- Develop automation solutions using Python and Infrastructure as Code.
- Support API lifecycle management using Data Power and API Connect platforms.
- Implement Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and operational excellence.
- Ensure platform security, performance, resilience, and compliance with banking standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through engineering best practices and automation initiatives.
- Collaborate with architecture, development, security, and operations teams to deliver reliable digital services.
