An exciting opportunity exists for a MI and Reporting Analyst to join a high-performing Credit Risk team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting credit risk management through the development, automation, and maintenance of management information (MI), reporting, dashboards, and data assets. This role is ideal for an analytical and technically strong professional who enjoys working with large datasets, uncovering insights, improving reporting processes, and supporting business decisions through data-driven intelligence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and automate daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc MI and credit risk reports.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and other credit risk performance metrics.
- Perform data extraction, analysis, validation, and reconciliation to support business and risk decision-making.
- Prepare, optimise, and automate governance, assurance, and committee reporting.
- Create and maintain reusable data assets to support reporting, analytics, and predictive modelling initiatives.
- Collaborate with Credit Risk, Analytics, Data Warehouse, Technology, and Operations teams to deliver reporting and data solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and data visualisations.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiencies through automation and process optimisation.
- Support data warehousing initiatives and contribute to the enhancement of data structures and reporting frameworks.
- Translate complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation of reports, data assets, processes, and business rules using tools such as Confluence.
- Support ongoing monitoring, measurement, and performance tracking across the credit lifecycle.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing reporting capabilities and business outcomes.
Education:
- BSc/BCom Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience within a Data Warehouse, Management Information (MI), Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Credit Risk environment.
- Experience with in Banking, Financial Services, Credit Risk, Lending, or Collections environments preferred.
- Proven experience developing, maintaining, and automating management information reporting.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Strong exposure to data warehousing and data asset management.
- Experience creating dashboards and visualisations for business stakeholders.
- Exposure to governance reporting and risk reporting environments.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Risk, Analytics, Data, Technology, and Operations.
- Advanced SQL programming skills (MS SQL Server, SAP HANA, or similar platforms).
- Experience using SAS and/or Python for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong Power BI dashboard development and visualisation skills.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, database structures, and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of SDLC, unit testing, and technical change control principles.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to analyse large datasets and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present complex information in a concise and meaningful manner.
- Experience documenting reports, processes, and data assets using tools such as Confluence.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
