About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Administrator to manage and maintain their critical enterprise network infrastructure in Randburg . This role is essential for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the organization's network operations. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of network devices, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and implementing network upgrades and security enhancements. Key Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize traffic flow and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansion projects as required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in network administration and support.
- Proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network device configuration.
- Experience with firewall management and network security best practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or Network+ are a plus.
