Senior Security Operations Analyst

Our client in Randburg is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Operations Analyst to lead their Security Operations Center (SOC). This role is critical for real-time monitoring, threat detection, and incident response. You will be responsible for analyzing complex security events, developing response strategies, and mentoring junior analysts. • Lead the monitoring of security alerts, identifying and investigating potential security incidents.
• Develop and refine Security Operations Center (SOC) playbooks and procedures.
• Perform in-depth analysis of security events, including malware analysis and forensic investigations.
• Manage and optimize security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
• Mentor and guide junior security analysts, fostering skill development.
• Contribute to threat intelligence gathering and dissemination.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Security Operations or Incident Response.
• Expertise in using and managing SIEM, EDR, and other SOC tools.
• Strong understanding of threat landscapes, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with digital forensics and malware analysis.
• Relevant certifications such as GIAC (GCIH, GCFA) or CISSP are highly preferred.
