The Solutions Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions within the banking sector. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements and comply with regulatory standards. The position demands strong technical expertise combined with a thorough understanding of banking processes and systems.

• Analyse business requirements and translate these into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure solutions tailored to banking operations.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and clients to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business objectives.
• Conduct detailed system testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during the development and post-deployment phases.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for all technical solutions and processes.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security policies, and industry standards.
• Stay informed of emerging banking technologies and advise on potential improvements to existing systems.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions for end-users and technical teams as required.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience within the banking sector, preferably in a technical or engineering capacity.
• Strong understanding of banking systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in solution architecture, system integration, and software development life cycle methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Minimum of 4-8 years as a Solutions Engineer or similar role within the banking industry.
• Practical experience in designing and implementing banking technology solutions.
• Experience working on contract assignments in a client-facing environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with banking software platforms, payment systems, and compliance frameworks.

• Strong technical aptitude in software engineering, systems integration, and infrastructure technologies.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards such as Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and data protection.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in using project management and collaboration tools.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking capabilities.

• Professional certifications related to solutions engineering, software development, or banking technology.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and modern development frameworks.
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and Dev Ops practises.

• Based in Johannesburg Metro, expected to work full-time hours during standard business days.
• Contract duration of twelve months, with potential for extension depending on project requirements.
• May require extended hours to meet project deadlines or support critical system deployments.
• Adherence to health and safety policies and banking security protocols is mandatory.
