About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Operations Manager to lead their IT infrastructure and support teams in Randburg . This critical role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the company's IT systems and services. You will oversee the day-to-day IT operations, manage infrastructure projects, and lead a team of IT professionals to provide exceptional technical support and maintain robust IT operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex IT environments and drive operational excellence within the technology domain.
- Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services.
- Oversee IT support operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues for end-users.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to protect company data and systems.
- Lead and mentor the IT operations team, fostering professional development and high performance.
- Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, implementations, and disaster recovery planning.
- Monitor IT system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT operations management or a similar role.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
