Senior Project Manager - IT Security

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a specialization in IT Security to join their team in Randburg . This role is critical for managing projects that enhance and protect the organization's information assets and infrastructure. You will lead initiatives related to cybersecurity frameworks, threat detection, incident response, and data privacy, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of IT security projects, such as security audits, vulnerability assessments, and system implementations.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation for security initiatives.
• Manage relationships with internal IT teams, external security vendors, and stakeholders across the organization.
• Ensure all security projects comply with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, POPIA) and internal policies.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational data.
• Provide regular status updates and reports on security project status and potential threats to senior management.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years focused on IT security projects.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threats, and technologies.
• Proven experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST.
• PMP or CISSP certification is highly desirable.
