IT​/Tech Head, IT Project Manager

Our client, an established company committed to transforming the digital landscape and fostering an inclusive culture, is seeking a seasoned Head of Applications to shape and lead their technology initiatives.

As the Head of Applications, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong relationships with business management and stakeholders, ensuring the effective delivery of technological solutions aligned with organizational values. Your leadership will oversee the implementation of the business transformation plan, development of customer service systems, and management of application portfolios to enhance operational efficiency. You will design and execute strategic plans, analyze performance metrics, and ensure IT governance, risk, and compliance are rigorously maintained.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement IT strategies that support overall business objectives.
• Lead the design and delivery of customer-centric solutions and innovative applications.
• Manage budgets and allocate financial resources effectively.
• Oversee IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Lead internal and external development teams to upgrade and develop technology platforms.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and internal teams for optimal technology stack decisions.
• Monitor key performance indicators and analytics to inform strategic decisions.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, machine learning, and data security practices.
• Drive policies, standards, and frameworks to enhance sales, increase profits, and future-proof the organization.

Requirements:

• Proven senior leadership experience in applications management within banking, financial services, or fintech sectors.
• Extensive experience (minimum 10 years) in analytics, business intelligence, data architecture, and data strategy.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Expertise in AI, machine learning, data security, and software development (C programming knowledge advantageous).
• Ability to develop and execute strategic IT plans supporting business growth.
• Experience managing budgets and leading cross-functional teams.
• Excellent decision-making, analytical, and communication skills.

What We'll Give You:

• Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,600,000 per year (Cost to Company), negotiable.
• Annual and performance bonuses.
