Waters Edge Solutions is partnering with an established international financial services business to find a driven, hands-on Technical Project Manager who knows how to turn plans into results.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on ownership, enjoys working closely with engineering teams and has the confidence to keep complex technology projects moving.

The business is investing in the continued development of its technology platform and is looking for a Project Manager who can take full responsibility for delivery across multiple initiatives.

This isn't a role where you'll simply track progress and report on delays. You'll be expected to drive projects forward, challenge timelines, resolve obstacles and ensure that commitments translate into completed deliverables.

About the Role

As Technical Project Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of technology projects, working closely with engineering teams, product owners, technology leadership and business stakeholders.

You'll establish effective project delivery structures, manage competing priorities and ensure that every project has clear timelines, responsibilities, dependencies and measurable outcomes.

The environment combines Agile delivery practices with structured project governance
, so you'll need to be comfortable moving between sprint planning, technical discussions, stakeholder meetings and formal project controls.

This is a highly visible position where you'll play an important role in improving delivery discipline, creating accountability and ensuring technology initiatives are completed successfully.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Ownership

  • Take full ownership of technology project delivery from initiation through to completion.

  • Define appropriate delivery approaches, governance structures and project methodologies.

  • Establish project timelines, milestones, phase gates and delivery requirements.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and aligned with agreed business objectives.

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across different teams and stakeholder groups.

  • Identify potential delays early and implement recovery plans to keep delivery on track.

  • Manage timeline changes through structured change-control processes.

Project Planning & Governance

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, delivery checklists and task allocations.

  • Manage project dependencies, risks, assumptions and issues through structured RAID logs.

  • Establish clear stakeholder communication plans and reporting processes.

  • Lead project kick-offs, status meetings, steering committee meetings and phase-gate reviews.

  • Facilitate project retrospectives and formal close-out processes.

  • Ensure actions, responsibilities and commitments are documented and followed through.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and delivery reporting.

Agile & Technical Delivery

  • Work closely with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Participate in sprint planning sessions and daily stand-ups.

  • Ensure sprint commitments align with overall project timelines and deliverables.

  • Identify technical dependencies and delivery risks before they affect project outcomes.

  • Engage confidently with technical teams to understand project complexity and challenge estimates where appropriate.

  • Use project management tools such as Jira to manage tasks, track progress and produce status reports.

  • Balance Agile delivery practices with traditional project management controls.

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management

  • Coordinate delivery across engineering, product, operations, finance and client-facing teams.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and technology leadership.

  • Chair meetings confidently and ensure decisions lead to clear actions.

  • Hold project contributors accountable for agreed commitments and deadlines.

  • Resolve cross-functional dependencies and remove obstacles that could delay delivery.

  • Communicate project progress, risks and challenges clearly to senior stakeholders.

  • Ensure business and technical teams remain aligned throughout delivery.

Performance, Reporting & Sign-Off

  • Define and agree on project success measures before development begins.

  • Monitor progress against project objectives, timelines and delivery commitments.

  • Produce clear, accurate project status reports.

  • Track risks, issues and dependencies…
