Remuneration: Negotiable depending on work experience and qualifications
Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Honeydew, Johannesburg North.
We are looking for your work experience in Supply Chain Management in manufacturing with a solid background in electromechanical, electronic, and electrical components, and electrical power systems.
Supply Chain Manager whose primary role will be to oversee and manage the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
The successful candidate will ensure that materials and products flow efficiently through the organization, meeting customer demands while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or procurement management.
- Proven track record of optimizing supply chain operations.
- Experience in managing supplier relationships and contracts.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and supply chain management software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Supply Chain Planning and Strategy
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Forecast demand and plan inventory levels to ensure product availability.
- Identify risks and develop contingency plans.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective contracts.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations. Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
- Track key supply chain metrics (cost, quality, delivery, inventory).
- Prepare and present reports to senior management.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and develop supply chain staff.
- Provide training and mentorship to enhance team capabilities.
- Foster collaboration across departments.
