Our client, a respected organisation in the Hospitality, Tourism, and Events Management industry, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead their B2C tourism operations in Bryanston, Sandton. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and drive business growth in South Africa's vibrant tourism sector.
Role OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business operations, including strategic planning, team management, financial performance, and customer experience excellence. You will develop and implement innovative tourism products and services while ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve organisational objectives and growth targets
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer experiences
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation effectively
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Identify market trends and opportunities to enhance service offerings
- Drive marketing and sales initiatives to increase customer acquisition and retention
This is a full-time position (30-40 hours per week) based in our Bryanston, Sandton office with a start date in December 2025. The role offers comprehensive benefits including Medical Aid, Paid Leave, Provident Fund, Funeral Cover, and Disability Cover.

Essential Qualifications- Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or related field
- 9-11 years of progressive experience in the tourism industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
- Demonstrated track record of successful business growth and team leadership
- Valid B driver's licence
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-centric approach with a commitment to service excellence
- Proficiency in relevant industry software and management tools
