CNC Milling Machine Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Milling Machine Operator with strong experience on Fanuc control panels. This role is ideal for a technically strong individual who not only enjoys hands‑on machining but also has the potential and interest to grow into a Technical Sales–related position over time.

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines (Fanuc‑controlled)
• Perform machine setups including tooling, fixtures, and offsets
• Participate in customer visits, trials, and demonstrations
• Maintain CNC machines to ensure consistent performance
• Conduct first‑line quality inspections on machined components
• Adjust machine parameters to maintain tolerances and surface finish
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Competent working knowledge of mathematics, ideally geometry
• 3+ years’ experience in CNC milling
• Strong understanding of CNC and VMC machine functionality
• Ability to program, set up, and troubleshoot CNC machines
• Exposure to CAD/CAM software for interpreting designs and machining requirements (advantage)
• Interest in customer interaction, problem‑solving, and technical product support

• CNC Operation
  • Programming using G‑code and M‑code
  • Setting work offsets and tool length offsets
• Controls
  • Proficiency with Fanuc controls (experience on other controls will be considered)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances
• Measurement
  • Skilled in precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometres, verniers)
• Machining Knowledge
  • Understanding of cutting tools, materials, machining processes, feeds, and speeds
• CAD/CAM
  • Basic CAD/CAM and computer literacy advantageous

• Setting up machines, tools, and fixtures
• Loading raw materials and unloading finished parts
• Performing in‑process quality checks
• Adjusting machine settings as required
• Maintaining equipment and workspace
