Production Planner; Maternity Cover

Responsible for production planning and scheduling across all plants, ensuring optimal use of capacity, materials, and resources. The role monitors daily performance, stock levels, and material availability, maintains accurate planning data and reports, and collaborates with production, maintenance, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams to meet production targets and minimise risk and cost.

• Plan and schedule production across all plants and lines, considering capacity, material, and staffing constraints.
• Monitor daily plant performance, production output, and adherence to schedules.
• Manage stock levels, finished goods, and material availability to prevent shortages, overstocking, and stock-outs.
• Balance product capacity across lines and communicate deviations or risks to management.
• Maintain accurate production data, reports, and system records on D365.
• Coordinate pre-blend, batching, and maintenance planning to support efficient production.
• Monitor forecasts, order backlogs, and new orders, challenging accuracy where necessary.
• Collaborate closely with production, maintenance, procurement, logistics, and commercial teams.
• Communicate material shortfalls, unavailable products, and expected production dates.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, contingency planning, and cost-impact minimisation.

• 5 plus years’ experience in production operations
• Diploma/degree in Industrial/ Analytical Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
