This is a full-time, on-site position for a Power Transformer Production Manager based in Johannesburg. The role involves overseeing the production of oil-filled distribution transformers, mini substations, and cast resin dry type transformers. The responsibilities include planning and managing production schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards, coordinating with departments to maintain efficiency, and supervising the manufacturing team. Additional duties entail maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, continuously improving production processes, and addressing any issues to minimize downtime.
Qualifications- Strong understanding of transformer manufacturing, production planning, and quality control processes.
- Proficiency in team leadership, resource allocation, and operational supervision in a production environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and relevant transformer specifications (e.g., SANS 708, IEC 60076).
- Ability to manage maintenance, equipment refurbishment, and troubleshooting of production issues effectively.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field are preferred.
- Experience in the transformer or manufacturing industry is preferred but not mandatory.
