Professional Nurse – Trauma Trained

SD Recruitment is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and highly skilled Trauma Trained Professional Nurse who is committed to excellence in clinical practice. The successful candidate will possess strong critical care expertise, exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining quality standards while supporting the successful placement of nursing professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to trauma and emergency patients.
• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care according to clinical urgency.
• Assist with emergency procedures and trauma resuscitation.
• Monitor patients' conditions and respond promptly to changes.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with doctors and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with infection prevention, quality assurance, and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Registered as a Professional Nurse with the relevant Nursing Council - SANC.
• Trauma qualification or accredited trauma nursing training.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Trauma or Emergency Unit (preferred).
• Excellent clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
