Drives & Controls Sales Specialist
Location:
Sub-Saharan Africa (with primary focus on South Africa)
Salary:
R60,000 CTC per month (includes benefits)

Main Purpose
This position is responsible for driving the growth of Drives & Controls business across Sub-Saharan Africa, with a strong emphasis on light industry and economy product ranges. The role supports both direct and partner-led sales while ensuring the successful transition of developed accounts to regional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Direct Sales:
- Expand sales by targeting existing and new customers within relevant industries and channels.
- Focus on light industrial and economy-level applications.
- Identify and onboard new Sales and Service Partners.
- Develop and maintain key accounts, including EPCs and RSA-based Head Offices.
- Account Development:
- Oversee and support customers until regional team handover.
- Assist in the development and mentorship of newly appointed partners.
- Follow up on quotations and regional project opportunities.
- Reporting & Intelligence:
- Provide monthly updates on revenue targets, customer engagement status, and partner performance.
- Maintain an active pipeline and deliver market intelligence reports.
- Technical & Commercial Support:
- Assist with resolving technical queries from clients.
- Contribute to technical presentations, exhibitions, and product launches.
- Participate in regular internal project and sales alignment meetings.
- Matric plus a recognised technical qualification (National Certificate,
B.Tech,
B.Sc.) OR minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Drives & Controls. - Strong experience with Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and automation solutions.
- Excellent computer literacy: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Valid South African driver’s licence.
- Valid passport and ability to travel across Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Strong command of English (verbal & written).
